Breakfast, brunch and baking on Great Western Road
Cottonrake is a small West End cafe with a long counter, an open kitchen and light coming in off Great Western Road. Croissants and cakes sit under glass at the front, the coffee machine runs all day, and there's usually a dog under a table.
The kitchen leans on the seasons — Turkish eggs, eggs benedict, soup with sourdough, sandwiches with a pot of gravy — and from Thursday to Saturday the room stays open into the evening for wine.
